An article called The Breast Policy from womengamers.com talks about "acceptable levels of sexuality" occuring with female characters in games.

I would rather point to the Xena effect, which allows outlandish costumes for Amazons because positing the female fighter is meant as a ridiculous tokenization in the first place. The idea is that we are not to believe that female fighters can actually exist, and so of course they can be outfitted in all manner of improbable fantasy gear.

See some highlights of online forums I've contributed to on this point.

That women can have only "magical" or "spiritual" power and no actual, material or physical power is truly a crock.
